How To Make Breast Milk Soap: Easy DIY Breast Milk Soap Recipe
Things you need:
- 1 cup of breast milk per pound of soap (room temperature)
- A bowl
- A rubber spatula
- A silicone mould
- A soap base (here’s an example)
- Scents or colours (optional)
Step 1: Defrost your breast milk.
This is a given – be sure to take out from the fridge or freezer and place them in warm water. Wait for them to defrost as it reaches room temperature.
Step 2: Cut the soap base.
Cut your soap base with cube sizes of about 1 inch.
Step 3: Melt the soap base.
You could either boil it on a pot over the stove or use a microwave to melt your soap base. Stir the mixture gently to prevent bubbles from forming.
Step 4: Add in the breast milk.
Then, you can start pouring in your breast milk once it has been melted. Using a spatula, stir it gently until you achieve a smooth texture.
Step 5: Pour the mixture into your mould.
After that, pour the entire mixture into your moulds.
Step 6: Let it set
Leave it to sit in the fridge for about an hour or so.
How To Store Breast Milk Soap
You need to keep your breast milk soap in the fridge. But once you’ve taken it out and used it, you should keep it out instead of putting it back into the fridge.
